All it took was one Sunday Smalls day and I was hooked. In fact I was so hooked that Sunday Smalls turned into a few weeks of stitching from my 'smalls' stash of charts.
Here's the results:
Pineberry Lane
Fancey Blackett - The Harvest Dance
Pineberry Lane
Fancey's Sunflowers - Hanging Pocket
The Primitive Hare
Town of Halloween
JCS Special Halloween Collector's Issue
40 ct. Lakeside Vintage Examplar
Crescent Colours Blackbird & GAST Dried Thyme
Plum Street Samplers
Halloweenies
40 ct. Lakeside Sand Dune
GAST and Crescent Colours
Pineberry Lane
Wool Pinkeeps
The stitching, which is the easy part, has been completed... but when these designs will be truly finish finished is anyone's guess.
I've been spending some time reorganizing my stash and came across a project that was purchased several years ago, tucked away and forgotton. I'm not sure this would qualify as a 'needlework small' but I went ahead and finished a portion of the project.
Primitive Traditions
PA German Sewing Box
40 ct. Elegant Bean
Belle Soie and NPI silks
Box Lid
This design is for the top of the box. The inside walls and bottom of the box will also be covered with stitched designs.
I had to bid farewell to my beautiful 150+ year old white pine tree that shaded the west side of Corgi Cottage. The tree was developing a large crack and the town arborist noted decay and advised the tree had to be removed. My white pine is sorely missed.
I was the lucky winner of Barbara's 1thread giveaway' Look at all the wonderful things she sent me. Thank you Barbara!
I have way too much stash. I created a second page to my blog. Look up under the header. It's the second tab, Charts for Sale, and you just have to click on the tab and it will take you to the listing of gently used and brand new charts. I hope I've listed something that you've been wanting to add to your stash.
Until next time....
Laurie

I would love to sit on your verandah chatting the afternoon away about reproduction samplers.
It is always a shame to loose an old tree but you have to be careful.
Beautiful stitching as always, I particularly like the Town of Halloween with the web and broom twigs.
Poppy and Blue send their love to Emma and Owen.
Cute little smalls! I SO love the style of your house and I am saddened by your missing pine tree!
oh my gosh, your smalls are wonderful!!! What a gorgeous house. Like Nicola, I'd love to sit with you on that verandah!!! So sorry about your tree. We're about to lose one too. It is really sad. The German box is just stunning. Love it.
Linda
Hi Laurie, Sorry about your pine tree! I'd love to purchase Fancey Blackett -- The Harvest Dance...please let me know if that is still available. Thanks!!
Your "smalls" are my mediums! I haven't had any stitching time due to my job but have all of these in my someday to stitch pile. I really love Fancey and those dancing squirrels. Thanks for reminding me to take some time to stitch this weekend!
ACK! Ok, you've stitched all this stuff I want to stitch. What a great post!!!! Congrats on winning that giveaway too. But your smalls. Sigh....... (Sorry about your tree. Such a bummer)
Oh it is hard to lose a big old cherished tree, isn't it? Even when it is the safe thing to do. I enjoyed seeing all the many stitches you shared today.
Lots of good looking projects! That sewing box is killer. What a beautiful treasure that will be. I always think I have a lot of charts, until I see bloggers downsizing. Then I realize I'm a small drop in a big lake. Sorry about the tree. We lost 5 to a microburst last year and I still miss them.
Wonderful smalls Laurie!
I like your idea of Sunday small Laurie. You have done some nice ones. I have the wool one in my bowl. Love your sewing box. It should be wonderful when you finish it. Such a shame with your tree, but ig is better to be safe than sorry. - Sandra
I love your collection of smalls. One of your babies didn't look happy about the tree.
Congrats on all the lovely finishes! But so sorry about your tree, it's always sad to see a big old tree go...
What a wonderful group of finishes! They are wonderful.
I am so sorry that you lost that large tree.
What a lovely giveaway package.
What small will you be stitching this Sunday?
Laurie, all of your stitching is beautiful! The box will be perfect. I so like the idea of Sunday Smalls...going to give it a try. It's never easy to say goodbye to a tree. Enjoy your weekend!
Your home is so beautiful. How sad about such an old tree. How different it must be now!
Oh, how I would love to come and sit on your porch and stitch and watch the world go by!! You have such a wonderful house. That is too bad about the tree though - it feels like a part of your house when you have it and feels naked when it's gone.
Love all your smalls too and can't wait to see your finished box!
Laurie, you really made a dent in your smalls! You're an inspiration once again. They are so cute and I love the Halloween theme. The German stitching box will be a treasure. I'm glad you are working on it.
I'm sorry you lost a tree you love. It's funny how trees can find a place in your heart.
So much beautiful stitching in this post Laurie - Love your Town of Halloween - I was supposed to be working on that one myself - maybe I'll start this weekend. Sorry about the loss of your beautiful tree. Enjoy your weekend - Melody
Oh, so many wonderful finishes, Laurie!! I love smalls (as you know!!) and yours are great (although to me, these are more like "mediums :)... It is nice to have that "instant gratification" that pieces like these provide isn't it?
What a shame about the tree--but, I'll bet you have more light in your house that is great to stitch by :)
Laurie, I can't wait to see your box finished up! Isn't it fun to rediscover a project like this that has been languaishing for so long, only to find that it's much closer to being done than you remembered?
You will be all set for Halloween once those wonderful smalls are put together.
What wonderful new smalls! Love them all especially the sampler for the german sewing box. How special that will be. What nice goodies you got there, that bird thread holder is so sweet. Have a wonderful weekend.
Your sitchery stitchery is soooo wonderful!! I love all your projects.
I have to catch up on your doings!
Oh my, Laurie Beautiful home and I understand your feelings for your pine tree...before we sold our home in September we had 2 large pines taken down..it left a big void in our back yard!
Your stitchery is wonderful!
Carolyn :)
Beautiful finishes Laurie! I really like your idea of taking one day a week and devoting it to something "different".
Too bad about your tree but it's probably for the best to protect you and your cottage.
Have a great week:)
You've been really busy! I love them all, especially "Halloweenies". And congrats to your lovely win! You must have been a very good girl :D
Oh I love your stitching !
very beautiful
bisous de FRANCE
Laurie, I am in love with all your "smalls"!!!
Sorry to read about your tree. :(
Ups, I forgot... congratulations to your adorable win!
Wow Laurie - you have gotten so much finished lately! I love them all!! Congrats on your win from 1thread and I'm so sorry about your tree!! I agree with the others - your house is beautiful!
Love the smalls! Stitching Sunday sounds like a great idea for it. Love your house. I always hated to lose a nice tree.
Your smalls are all gorgeous, congratulations
Sorry about the loss of your tree & congratulations on your win
I, too, like doing 'smalls' - it's nice to see the finished product in a shorter time. However, I don't always know what to do with them - how do you use them? My condolences on your pine tree. Losing a tree always makes me sad - they're so important and have so much history.
Great stitching! I've started The Town and stitched Halloweenies, too. Sorry you lost the tree - but at least before it damaged the house! Looking at your chart page...
Ahhhh, such great Halloween pieces. I have most of them in my stash, too, but they haven't been there for long yet and will be next year's Halloween stitching.
Awww, sorry to hear that you had to lose that beautiful tree! Better safe than sorry but still--it's hard to see such majestic trees go.
LOOOOOOOVE those smalls! I can feel the stirrings of my mojo returning and should try to devote some time to Sunday Smalls, too. I am remembering all these things I want to stitch while looking at your beautiful finishes.
Cuddles to your pups--hope Owen is not in too much pain!
Love all of your smalls!!
So sorry about your tree...I'm sure it was time, before any damage to your house was done, but that doesn't make it any easier.
Laurie,
I hadn't realized that there was no way to contact me on my profile. I now have the email address contact info up.
Please let me know the names of the patterns and where you got the Corgi Cottage medallion on your home page?
Many thanks!
